Welcome!
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), RPN, and BScN providing personalized breastfeeding support and education in the Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and surrounding areas.
Since the beginning of my nursing career I have had a passion in caring for mothers and their babies. While working in primary health care I noticed a growing need for breastfeeding education among expecting, new, and experienced mothers. This is where my drive to empower mothers began.
I aspire to help mothers gain the confidence to breastfeed comfortably and enjoyably. When breastfeeding my son, I was able to see first hand how fulfilling, but at times difficult this experience can be. It wasn't until I had connected with a Lactation Consultant that I was truly able to enjoy this experience and feel like a confident mother.
Let's be honest breastfeeding can be tricky and I'm here to give you the support and confidence to OWN it.

A detailed history and education on the following topics :
- skin to skin
- breast milk and breast anatomy
- milk production
- assessment of the breast and nipples
- positioning techniques
- the secret of a great latch
- what to expect during the first few days
- how to know baby is getting enough milk
- breast pumping
- baby bathing and hygiene
- safe sleep
INITIAL HOME VISIT (60 - 90 MIN) - $190
- includes follow up phone and email support
- detailed history
- assessment of breast and nipples
- assessment of infant oral anatomy
- latch and positioning assessment
- observation of feed
- suck assessment
- evaluation of milk transfer with pre/post weight assessment
- additional education and support pertaining to personal issue at hand
FOLLOW-UP (45-60min) - $130
Initial virtual (including prenatal)- $150
Follow-up virtual- $100
